CAMP HILL, QLD, Australia

It's a beautiful looking tree - there's something prehistoric looking about it and it's doing really well in a large terracotta pot.

D.pruriens. It's a very handsome tree but I really don't like the fruit - for anything so far. It is unbelievably sour. I am impressed that it grows so well here though, considering we get the odd light dusting of frost on the low part of our property....

beautiful tart fruit for jams. have made some from a freinds larger specimens.Lovely leaves. cauliflorous flowers and fruit will make it a great specimen once mature.Have planted a few and a sunny spot tends to stunt them.

The tree has had fruit . It loves native fertiliser but bust be low phosphorus . I experimented with some well aged cow manure and some blood and bone . A lot of leaves are burned IE: phosphorus toxicity . Dont use anything with high phosphorus content...

Update September 2014: Still no fruit. In fact, it didn't even flower this year. I still like it for its size and shape but not holding out much hope that it will produce anything useable.----------------------------------------------------------------...
