Hi Jeff,
Nearly all avocado trees should grow in Brisbane. Dwaft varieties are, Wurtz (A), Rincon (A) and some semi-dwaft trees are, Pinkerton (A), Lamb Hass (A) & even Shepard (B).

One can keep avo trees pruned to about 4 metres, even though they are not dwafts. Edranol (B) is supposed to taste better than the Hass, so I've been told.

I'd check with Daleys or your local nursery.
