Ok, so I writing you folks from West Palm Beach, Florida in the US (zone 10b). I recently came across this tree in my neighborhood and went in search of an ID. I have been told its a Black Sapote, which I agree with, but i am left wondering what variety i have here. I have not been able to find a picture or description online that is an exact match to mine. The fruit in the picture was picked up off the ground, but i guess it is unripe. I did grab a dark brown one that was less firm, but it was still very dry inside (Sorry, i didnt snap a pic). I have had a hard time finding out what exactly Ive got here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its Nance. Thought it was Kei apple on first glance then noticed the long stems and large seeds and that you were in WPB. Nance isn't uncommon there and is a favourite of central American fructivores.

It doesn't look like Nance, too big and the seeds are completely different. Any other suggestions guys?
