Hi All,
I am trying to find out where I can purchase blueberry plants in w.a. I am not sure if they are banned in this state, but could anybody help with a source (preferably in w.a.).
Thankyou,
Cheers, Wendy

Try again (what happened to my last post?) Wendy, if you read through the posts in the 'blueberry' thread (not 'blueberries') you will find answers to a lot of questions.

Hi I just got a couple of blue berry plants from the quokka. They are about 40cm high, rabbit eye variety and are cuttings from the Margaret river Blueberry farm people. Look quite good, hopefully they will produce. $15 per plant In Maylands

Hi there to everyone who responded to my email re Blueberries.
I visited our local Bunnings store yesterday, and lo and behold, they were stacking blueberries on their shelves, so managed to grab one, costs 16.95, which considering the freight we pay in Esperance, I thought quite reasonable. All I have to do now is study up on how to grow them, would prefer them in a big tub where I can control the soil a little better. Any hints from any other growers living on sandy soil would be appreciated.
Thanks for your collective postings
Cheers,
Wendy

Use pots, organic matter, plenty of mulch and make sure your soil is acid. If you've got a high pH soil (>7.5 or 8)- grow them in pots.
If less than that- you can bring the pH down further using sulphur.

Itdepends if you know what you are talking about ;the pH needs to be between 4.5 and 5.2.
