I read about this interesting Clove Currant (Ribes odoratum) in a fruit growers/decorators manual.

Does anyone know if Clove Currant (Ribes odoratum) is available from Australian Nurseries?

Does Daleys know where this plant can be obtained in Australia?

Thanks for your response, Kath.
I'll check out Parr's Nursery.

Has anyone in this forum ever come across this Clove Currant (Ribes odoratum) in Australia?
I rang around the local nurseries in Southwest WA today, and quite a few local nurseries have the usual black, red and white currants .... but none seem to have any idea that Clove Currant even exsisted.

i am so glad you have discovered this currant, shaun! it is one of my favourite plants and when i owned a nursery outside canberra i had one planted in my display gardens - lovely scent in spring AND good autumn colour too! i was told it is the state flower of colarado. you won't be disappointed with the stock from parr's as i buy from them - infact i have ordered some currants for my nursery in jindabyne for this coming winter
cheers theresa
