dragon fruit (forum)

I have one dragon fruit plant that has about 50 buds on it this year. My other plants had some accidents so I only have this one plant left. With 50 buds and nothing to cross polinate with it I just see the $$$ signs ticking bye with the price of the fruit in the shops.
I was wondering if there is anybody in the Bankstown area of Sydney who could give me some pollen from one of their plants. I would share some fruit with you but maybe if you have as many buds on yours you wouldn't want my fruit...lol

Hi Lorraine,
Which variety do you have ? I have the self pollinating pink dragon fruit with white flesh . All my buds turn into fruit guarantee 100%.Maybe you should look at getting the self pollinating variety so that you won't have to worry about whether the buds will turn into fruit.

Lucky you. I don't have a single flower. I might have to be more mean to it I'm thinking. I've just been too kind, and look how I'm being rewarded, nothing.

Here's another plant. Nothing, no sign of a flower anywhere.

I have heaps of fruit on my plants. They are not growing into a big full fruit. They are quite small. I was wondering what fertilizer to use when the plant is flowering.

I am not sure which dragon fruit I have, I thought it was the pink one with white flesh. Here is a picture of a lot of the flowers, I tried hand pollination again but now they are all falling off with no fruit.
