Manni Calaverda starts with ...
Is there anyone who could help me identify this fruit? I don't think it's edible. I found it on the ground, in Kennebunk Port, Maine. Nothing around seemed to bear the same fruits. Thought it looke really cool. The texture inside, once riped, seemed alot like a fig.

Seems like Cornus kousa fruit or eventually Cornus capitata fruit... both are suposed to be edible but i have yet to find a C.capitata fruit to be sweet... on the contrary the Cornus kousa fruits i have tried were all very good... here in Europe C.Kousa fruits are ready to eat in summer and C.Capitata in autumm.
