Help! Bugs on my Basil! (forum)

4 responses

Jequila starts with ...
I have these brown lumps all over my basil. At first I thought it was from the sudden ant increase (I think they're living in one of my pots...) but I just found some of the small lighter coloured ones moving about! I flipped a light one one over and found legs, but the dark ones seem to be almost like empty shells.
Can anyone tell me what these are called and what I should use to kill them off while still keeping my basil edible?

Looks like scale to me. Squash them or spray with white oil.
