Hi, I am looking to buy (when available) and plant the Jamun Tree. I live in Enfield, South Australia. The weather is similar to that of Northern India (Except for the Monsoon season) and these trees are grown in the region.
Can you please advise if it will be suitable for our Dry Australian climate (Adelaide) ?
Regards
Anil

They dont like a severe frost. Otherwise tree will grow in Mildura ok, not far from Adelaide. Of course needs water and a bit of shelter.
Trees grown from cuttings/marcotts might fruit faster than seedlings ?

I would like to buy about 1kg of Jambolan Plum fruits. As there are fruiting trees at Toowoomba University and I believe there are also many trees around Cairns, so is there anyone who can send me some of these fruits? Thank you.

Hi Anil
I am in Northfield, SA and also want to grow jambolan plum tree but Daley's nursery can't send to SA/WA due to quarantine restrictions.but I have seen some selling jamun plant in WA. I tried to find in SA but no luck so far. But I am sure we can grow jamun tree in Adelaide.
