Macadamias in the tropics

Sarah (Cairns) starts with ... I am planning to plant a macadamia tree in my backyard in suburban Cairns and am trying to find a suitable variety, i.e. one which doesn't get too huge but will cope with our tropical conditions. My local nursery has suggested 741 but over time I know it will grow very tall. My preference was for A16 but I am struggling to get any info on whether it will go okay up here.
