Mango bark cracking (forum)

Hi
I have a grafted Kensington Pride around 5 years old, and I noticed the bark on the trunk and also on one of the branches is cracked quite badly - it looks like a crocodile's skin. Also, the general health of the tree seems to be deteriorating, although it is never great in winter. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not absolutely sure Trevor, but you might be killing it with kindness, how often do you water it, they don't require a great deal of water

Well, I haven't watered it at all for quite some time, but we have had quite a wet winter. You think that might be the problem?
