Pixlepete starts with ...
Al the mango I bought today had this dark ring inside. Are they still edable or Are they perhaps rotten?

That condition is called jelly seed and is seen more often in some SE Asian and fibreless types.They are edible but the parts closer to the skin are way better.I have heard people say the causes include nutrition,picking too mature,percussion injury and unsuitable weather conditions.
