Hi Vicki and all - here is some info and photo's of the disease...treatments don't seem to be available as yet :(

Vicki - are u sure this is what is wrong with your trees? The photo's in the links look pretty devastating to the tree? My loquat died within 4 months of me discovering a big stem canker...?

Unfortunately that is what we do have, I will also scan the article out of the magazine we get thru the Mango Assoc iation and post it. They say to use a product called Coppox, which is basically a copper oxychloride.

That's a bummer Vicki :( - in the link above they say the psuedomonas that causes this is resistant to copper sprays?....(but is helpful for prophylaxis) There is an antibiotic but it's banned from this use in WA (which is probably wise given the wierd resistances that psuedomonas can develop)
