Naranjillas - An interesting Story (forum)

Years ago in the 80s there was a seed company that specialized in Rare Veges and Exotic Fruits etc at the time minni cauliflowers were introduced to the home gardener. The name of this company was Erica Vale, otherwise known as Tompson and Morgan. I was really taken with the Narangilla and Golden Berries. I was not confident about raising them, so I asked a local nursery if they could oblige because they had a special setup. They did not work out though. To my knowledge, Erica Vale went out of circulation, in SA atleast. Then at a later date I saw an interview on a current affairs where a guy was eager to commence a Narajilla Plantation at the top of SA saying there would be a good market for them as they taste so delicious. For sometime, I heard nothing more about this or saw any in the stores. so it is a really good opportunity to buy the plants here from Daleys!
PS The leaves on them grow quite big and a Google Images search is a good idea before you purchase one
