Hi,
I was wondering how to successfully grow this plant from cuttings. I tried to stick some in the ground, they looked OK fora couple of weeks but now have completely dropped dead. I am in Cairns and we get a lot of rain. Any advice?

The fruit, which is used in medicine in many south pacific and caribbean cultures, smells like vomit when ripe (!). It is a very attractive shrub, however

Yes, it is very attractive. It grows wild all over the north and fruits prolifically right about now. The fruit does smell a bit like vomit, but so does most eating cheese, and I love my cheeses! I guess those with more traditional palettes may never get used to it, a bit like Durian or the smellier Jackfruits.
