Some of the grafted hybrid forms of brachychiton bidwillii are pretty special. Not quite like cherry blossom, but still quite remarkable.

Here's a few photos of the euodia

I lost mine in the flood, it was about 15' high

It's also supposed to attract the Ulysses butterfly > http://www.google.com.au/search?q=eulisis+butterfly&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a

I also have a Bauhinia(mature), it's quite a large tree, a prolific grower and throws lots of seeds that all seem to germinate.
I'll take a photo of it tomorrow and put on here.

I'm with BJ here - bauhinias are beautiful and tough (no pests here - and very drought tolerant) I love them.

Or a crepe myrtle? - do they grow ok in Bris BJ ?

Crepe Myrtle are OK, but I have a bit of a problem with suckers and seedlings here. Its mostly because I garden underneath them though, so every cut root sends up a sucker.

I have wanted to plant a trio of red, white and pink crepe myrtles (in the one hole) in my Father's horse paddock though, where it wont be as susceptible to root disturbance and suckering...
