My pawpaw tree is over eight years old and 5yrs ago it showed rot in the shadow side at base. We used some white liquid from our nursery with water mix and the problem seemed to fix. Now it seems to have returned. The rest of the tree looks fine at present see pix. Could it be a virus rot or our very wet weather lately or age? Kind regards, Gary

Hi GaryTR,
I have the same problem with my very old paw paw tree . Unfortunatley Paw Paw trees are only meant to be short lived 3- 5 years and you are meant to repalce them . I had to get rid of mine even though it was still producing fruits.
