Could you please identify from the attached photos the peach disease.
Name of photo = short description
The tree is 7yo., last year it had leaf curl , this year I spayed it with koside at bud swell.
I also removed some dead wood at the ends.
Half the fruit and most leaves have dropped.
Victoria has had a couple of days of frost.
Could you please advice how the tree may be saved.

Hi Col - it looks like it still has leaf curl. Someone will know more about this than me.
But - are these pics of the current growth?
Do you only spray at bud swell?
I usually do my trees twice in winter - the first spray at leaf drop - getting right into all the nooks and crannies and bark. Then one at bud swell.
Have a look in the search function (top right hand corner of Forum main page) under "leaf curl" also...the thread 'Spring Sprays" may also be helpful.
This link may help too - it does say that once the fungus is inside the leaf then there is no treatement....

Hi Amanda
I usually spray once a year.
I know it still has leaf curl, but I'm more concerned with the leaf drying & been crumbly.
Also note the stem spots in Pic1 and the brown center in pic5.
Some branches are bare and dry.
I love your "garden".
Got to fly in a few hours to Perth and your home town.

Anyone else have any ideas here?
Col - it's really hard to say if the problem is due to the leaf curl or maybe even black heart/something else?
Try gooling - black heart disease in fruit trees - and see what u think - and here is one short link:
http://www.sardi.sa.gov.au/pestsdiseases/horticulture/horticultural_crops/apricot_pests__and__diseases/black_heart
The leaves look very burnt - but this could be due to disease or fertilisers/sprays... you may have a better feel for this?
Either way it's not looking too good hey. :-(

Sorry I may not have much help to this but dry leaves like that makes me feel like it is chemical burns...did you fertilise it? Heavy fertilsing can kill it too...
I think peach trees are very good with frost and cold so doubt it is due to that.

Looks like dead arm -a fungus infection requiring radical pruning and sterilise secateurs after use.
