pruning weeping mulberry (forum)

Brad starts with ...
I've 'partial pruned' the mulberry. I took off the extremities including the skirt and lopped out two large upright branches (they look like little trees on their own) to keep a more manageable height. I imagine with regular pruning, you wouldn't normally take so much off it.
Any tips on managing this from here? There's a lot of 'twiggyness' in the canopy - whats the best treatment for that? The first shot was from underneath before pruning. the other 2 after.

I like what you have done so far. I think mulberries are as tough as old boots so I suggest you prune any way you like. Prune hard I say.
