Finally got cold enough the burn the Curcuma longa foliage , I was waiting to see how well it had grown for me . I was not dissapointed , all this from one little rhizhome planted late in the season . I have a few more plants , and want to spread it out a bit . Tastes fantastic used fresh in many dishes , and I will never use that powdered muck ever again .. I have a great recipe for Burmese fish Curry , from Charmain Solomon big Asian cookbok ..

YES thats correct Tran , only 6 months , I was very impressed with the harvest . The 3m of rain during the growing season may have helped a little .

Thanks Trikus.
I tried to grow it in melbourne last year and after 6 months all I had was a plant without even the original Rhizhome and winter came the whole lot was gone.
