Hi everyone, I'd like to buy a wax jambu, Does anyone have any experience with this plant? How long before you get your first crop? How successful during winter? If you can attach pictures of your own plant, wold be neat! Thanks guys

I found a neglected Wax Jambo at the back of the fruit tree area at a local nursery a few years ago. This one fruited after 2 years of being in the ground. It looked like it was in the nursery bag for probably 2 years before that. Im my climate, the tree has a small growth spurt late spring and will fruit around February.

Wow, Great pics John Mc, I'm definitly trying it out. Btw, is winter a problem for these plants, will they cope? Im in NSW, and winter can be quite cold but not overly freezing.

John Mc how's your wax jambu growing? I am wondering if it would do OK on the lower north shore of Sydney? Can it be grown in a pot?

Hey Mary,
It's going good here. I have two and they do get a little neglected, they're a little out of the way. I think they'd do well in a pot for quite a few years, mine are around 3-4 y/o and could easily be still in a 10" pot.
