Hi,
Can anyone help me identify this citrus tree? It was here when we moved into the house about a year ago. It hasn't flowered or fruited in that time.
It's about 3m tall. Not sure of the age, but the house is 8 years old, so it can't be older than that. It appears to be ungrafted.

Oh. It also has thorns. Not sure if that helps with identification.

big maybe, a lisbon lemon as they tend to be quite thorny when young.
Try to prune and train the tree so you get some more horizontal branches which in turn will be much more likely to flower and fruit (and then we'll know for sure). based on that photo I'd prune quite heavily, but get some local advice

Hi MrDizzy,
What do the leaves smell like when crushed? Like a lemon or something else? I have a Lisbon lemon and the thorns are not quite that vicious. My lemon leaves have a very aromatic sharp lemon smell (and other citrus leaves smell like their fruit rinds as well).
