It looks great! Could you pls post a photo of the fruit? Does it look like the picture on Daleys? Their description of the fruit looks nothing like the fruits in the picture.

Question: I live in Brisbane - have great success with many other tropical/sub tropical plants but this one has never flowered/fruited even though it grows quite prolifically! I'm in the process of repotting it and will post pictures in the coming days when it's done. I'm also moving it to a slightly brighter position as I'm wondering if it's not getting enough light perhaps? Has anyone else encountered this problem??

My seedling abiu is about 5 years old and 2m by 2m. For the past three years it has flowered. Every year the flowers fall off without producing fruit. It seems that these trees really need cross pollination.

Dwarf Lemon - Meyer (Grafted)

1010501's Edible Fruits
Update: 1163 days 4hrs

Comments: -

Plant arrived in in Feb 2020 in great condition with soil still damp. Will plant this into a pot after 1-2 weeks outside and provide updates.

May 2020 - Has had one flush of growth since potting - new growth was damaged by citrus leafminer.

Spring 2020 - Flowered and set fruit, however later dropped them.

September 2021 - Now in 25L pot. Flush of new growth & flowers now (will knock these off), however has been slow growing - likely due to allowing to fruit last year and growing in a pot. Survived 2x Toowoomba winters with no damage (under shade cloth so frost couldn't settle).

Mandarin - Emperor (Grafted) 7/10

Terrastrega's Edible Fruits
Update: 1744 days 15hrs

Comments: -

Just purchased my Emperor Mandarin tree few weeks ago. Its in a pot (38cm diameter & 35cm height). Potting mix is Richgrow rose and citrus potting mix, fertilise with bit of blood and bond and fruit and citrus premium fertiliser, and a dash of potash. I use Tee Tree Mulch but leave about 2 inches unmulched around the trunk of the tree. The nursery advice to water twice a day here on Brisbane, so I have been doing that so far.

It looks healthy and doing well. It gets full sun till about 2 - 3pm each day, after which it gets partial sun. Height of tree from soil line upwards is about 74cm. potting mix and fertiliser and so far all seem healthy.

Late 2013, Update: Tree is still in a big pot although not the dwarf varity. Has plenty of flowers and little fruit forming (Early September). Will be transfering in the ground after fruiting. Had not done so earlier as we were renting but now have bought a house and can start putting my trees in the ground!

June 2014: It is finally in the ground. trimmed it right back and now lots of new growth on it.
