Peanut Butter Fruit
Bunchosia argenta
A very attractive and hardy shrub/small tree. to 5m. Bears dusters of Yellow flowers followed by small ORANGE / RED fruit with a pasty texture. The flavour is rich and sweet am is similar in flavour to Peanut Butter when fully ripe. Can be eaten fresh or makes an excellent addition to milkshakes. Ripens in late summer. Enjoys the full sun but will tolerate part shade. Will also withstand light frosts when established.
