White Beech
Gmelina Leichhardtii
A fast growing, deciduous, small to medium tree renowned for its light grey straight grained timber which is durable easily worked and non shrinking. Masses of white and purple flowers cover the tree every three to four years. Fewer at other times, followed by large clusters of purple-blue berries. A handsome shade or specimen tree for parks, large gardens and acreage planting. Well drained soil is essential.
