Dwarf tree producing a rounded fruit with the later crop being more pear-shaped. The thick flesh has a smooth-texture, good flavour and high oil content. It shows some cold tolerance and bears consistently heavy crops. H June to August The fruit is medium sized with green leathery pliable skin and a small seed. This is an excellent choice for backyards, higher yields in trees that are cross pollinated with a 'B'variety avocado near by.
Panama Berry

A highly ornamental tree that bears small red berries within its first year. Blossoming and producing all year round, the flowers are white and followed by small red fruit that is sweet with the taste of caramel. The trees are exceptionally attractive with long spreading branches that often droop down to the ground and soft weeping foliage. Trees are very fast growing and drought hardy once established. They can grow 5-10m in ideal conditions but respond well to being cut back so it is possible to keep them smaller than this making it easier to browse on the tempting little fruits. Panama berries will happily grow and fruit in large containers provided they have a good quality mix and a healthy layer of organic mulch to hold the moisture in. It is the ideal backyard tree if you have children as it is a lovely little shade tree as well as producing tempting little sweet treats. Bamboo - Oldhamii

An edible species of bamboo. Fast growing in just about any soil type or environmental condition. Oldhamii is a medium sized upright clumping bamboo. It has deep green foliage that starts low on the smooth clumps which turn yellow as they are exposed to sunlight. The tall upright culms grow straight and strong making it a popular variety for many different horticultural and agricultural applications. Both the timber and the shoots are popular for construction and human consumption purposes. To ensure the safe consumption of bamboo shoots, it's important to boil them before use. This process helps to remove the cyanogenic glycosides produced by the plant as a defence against herbivores. It's advisable to boil for at least 20mins and change the water once or twice during boiling to ensure all toxins are eliminated
Dwarf Apple - Tropical Anna

On a semi dwarfing rootstock they are ideal for backyard plantings and container specimens. Anna will set some fruit on its own, an added bonus for small areas. Pollinate with Dorsett Golden or Tropic Sweet for greater fruit set. An apple best eaten fresh off the tree as they are not a storing apple.
