A small free fruiting tree suitable for home gardens. Ripe fruit has sweet creamy textured pulp with fewer seeds. Pick as mature firm fruit and ripen at room temperature. Plant in sunny well drained position protected from hot dry winds. Keep free from frosty areas. High humidity during flowering promotes fruit set. Mulch tree and prune tree in Spring to open vase shape. Fertilize well after fruit set with organic fertilizer. Regular watering commencing at flowering to harvest is important. Dwarf tree producing a rounded fruit with the later crop being more pear-shaped. The thick flesh has a smooth-texture, good flavour and high oil content. It shows some cold tolerance and bears consistently heavy crops. H June to August The fruit is medium sized with green leathery pliable skin and a small seed. This is an excellent choice for backyards, higher yields in trees that are cross pollinated with a 'B'variety avocado near by.

Flavour is highly aromatic and has been rated as superior by Chefs. Fruit is highly ornamental, with its shiny black skin and as a cut fruit, as it has a dark lime green pulp. Displays well as a garnish, with the juice vesicles popping out on cutting and the fruit splitting open wide. Its wide shape facilitates scooping out the pulp with a teaspoon. Rind colour is black/purple at optimum maturity and pulp colour is a dark yellow/green. Mean fruit size is 50mm x 25mm. It is a mid to late season variety but bears fruit all year round.
