Fuyu is a semi-dwarf variety, well suited to growing in small backyards and can be kept to 2m with pruning. The fruit is large and flat, orange-red in colour with a sweet, mild flavour. Great eaten crunchy but just luscious when left to go soft. Besides producing delicious fruit, Persimmons are highly ornamental with their beautiful autumn foliage. Non astringent, so can be eaten when still hard. When young, protect from hot afternoon sun, and when dormant, from wet conditions. Seedless when grown on their own. If cross pollinating with another variety they can have seeds in the flesh as shown in the display picture.

Dwarf Apple - Tropical Anna

Delicious crunchy apples similar to their cold climate cousins, Red Delicious, but only require a low amount of chill. On a semi dwarfing rootstock they are ideal for backyard plantings and container specimens. Anna will set some fruit on its own, an added bonus for small areas. Pollinate with Dorsett Golden or Tropic Sweet for greater fruit set. An apple best eaten fresh off the tree as they are not a storing apple.

A small free fruiting tree suitable for home gardens. Ripe fruit has sweet creamy textured pulp with fewer seeds. Pick as mature firm fruit and ripen at room temperature. Plant in sunny well drained position protected from hot dry winds. Keep free from frosty areas. High humidity during flowering promotes fruit set. Mulch tree and prune tree in Spring to open vase shape. Fertilize well after fruit set with organic fertilizer. Regular watering commencing at flowering to harvest is important.
