Chinese Red Bayberry

Fruit is typically a deep, brilliant red, but may vary from white to purple. Flesh colour is similar to outer colour, or somewhat lighter. Flesh is sweet and tart with berry flavours. Single seeded. Besides eating fresh, the fruits may be dried, canned, soaked in liquor. The bayberry is an evergreen dioecious tree with separate male and female plants. Our seedlings are not sexed and it is recommended to grow at least 3 to be assured of at least one female.
Dwarf Avocado - Lamb Hass (A)

Larger and rounder than most other avocado varieties. It has a very dark, almost black skin that only gets darker as it ripens. The flesh is a pale green colour with a creamier consistency than the more common Hass and it has a slightly nutty and creamy taste. It has a medium-sized seed. Lamb Hass is a smaller tree that bears more fruit and it matures later in the season than regular Hass avocados. The symmetrical fruit has pebbly skin with green flecks. This variety has Plant Breeder Rights over it.

Most popular variety due to both its superior taste and excellent keeping qualities. Medium sized, pear-shaped fruit has an excellent creamy, flesh. The leathery rough dark-purple skin turns to black when ripe. H Aug-Dec. Hass is an A type variety and for good fruit set a B type variety is needed for cross pollination. Suggested varieties to grow alongside a Hass are Shepard, Sharwill, Fuerte, Bacon (if you're in a cooler climate)and Linda. Happy fresh avocado smashing.

Selected for good quality, large, juicy, sweet fruit, Lena is a large, vigorous shade tree suited to temperate, subtropical and some tropical areas. Annual pruning to keep contained will promote fruit production as fruit is produced on new growth. Should produce a second crop in late summer if pruned in late spring. Best results when grown in full sun with ample moisture.
