Orange - Navelina

$39.00

A Spanish variety. Navelina produces fruit of excellent quality and brilliant colour, very early in the season. Good fruit size and naturally develops an outstanding deep red orange skin which is very attractive. This is grown on a more vigorous rootstock than the dwarf variety.

Blackberry - Thornless Chester

$23.90 ($14.90-$23.90 choose a size)

Berries are large, flavorful, very sweet, high quality fruit; hardy, productive, disease resistant. This should not be confused with the wild blackberry, this is a thornless variety with less vigour. It prefers cooler climates for best fruit production. The plant is propagated by cutting and is taken from the thornless parent and is a clone. The roots, however, can still occasionally revert to producing thorny stems and these must be managed.

Cherry - Royal Lee

$79.00 ($59.00-$79.00 choose a size)

Delicious, medium to large, dark red cherries, with a rounded to heart shaped look. This is a low chill cherry, requiring 200-400 hours of chill. Royal Lee requires a pollinator which has traditionally been the older Minnie Royal but flowering times of these 2 can be mismatched in warmer areas and an intermediary is helpful. The newer, self pollinating Royal Crimson blooming can bridge between these two. Bees are the main pollinating insects, so plant flowering herbs to attract them to your garden. Other stonefruit may also provide pollination services. Plant within 5m of each other for best results. Hand pollination could be helpful in years where flowering times are mismatched.

Hazelnut - American White

Good hedging in a food forest garden. Twisted branches good for crafts. A natural forest dweller so filtered light is best.
