The fruit are tangy and refreshing with a delicate subtle sweetness, a fine balance between sweetness and acidity, producing an unusual taste sensation. Very moreish. Fruit should be picked mature, as it does not ripen further on storage. Originating from the Bolivian part of the Amazon basin in South America, the Bolivian name of the fruit is Achachairu and translated means honey kiss. Achacha is protected by Plant Breeders Right (PBR) and cannot be grown or propagated without licence agreement with Achacha Fruit Group

Chinese Red Bayberry

Besides eating fresh, the fruits may be dried, canned, soaked in liquor. There are two main types of fruits a sour type used for making dried fruit and a sweet type used for juice and fresh eating. The bayberry is an evergreen dioecious tree with separate male and female plants. The skin is typically a deep, brilliant red, but may vary from white to purple. The flesh colour is similar to surface color, or somewhat lighter. The flesh is sweet and very tart. At the center is a single seed, with a diameter about half that of the whole fruit.

Orange - Cara Cara Blood Navel

A red fleshed navel, this variety was discovered in Venezuela in 1976. It has pink to red flesh similar to Star Ruby grapefruit. In South Africa it matures slightly earlier than Washington navel. It is sweet and the fruit often grows quite large. It is also a seedless variety that looks fantastic. The fruit is very large and is becoming a favourite in taste all around Australia. Quickly becoming the Blood Orange Tree to choose.
