Flindersia australis
A medium tree much sought after for its durable timber. The leaves are aromatic when crushed. The white flowers appear from Sept to Feb. The fruit is a woody, prickly capsule which opens into five segments releasing winged seed.

The fruits are very flavourful and a summer stonefruit delight. Prune branches during winter. Apricots grow best in full sun positions with good drainage and a regular application of fertiliser during the growin season. Fruit Fly and birds can be a problem and we recommend quality netting to cover the tree that is not harmful to wildlife.
