Bamboo - Boni

Smaller, clumping type bamboo that can be pruned to 2m. Will hold lower foliage on new growth to create a screen for small spaces, giving a lush tropical feel to a garden. Great for growing in pots, too. Can grow to 3-4m high when left to grow and 1m wide, can be triangular in shape. Fine look with green culms to 2cm. Canes can be harvested for use in the garden. Plant 1m apart for hedging applications. Cold tolerant to -7C. The bamboo shoots on this variety are not considered edible as they are bitter even when prepared the proper way.

A tree doesnt need that much looking after , the problem is Bats and possums take most of the fruits even not ripe,

Hachiya : No.1 of the above persimmons.Hachiya are incredibly tasty and sweet when very ripe and jelly soft and almost falling apart and cracking up.
