Fig - Sandpaper

I chose this plant because I want to increase the amount of native edibles in my garden. I have planted in ground initially with some organic blood and bone fertiliser. It's looking healthy since planting a few months ago. I can't wait to taste the fruit

Fig - Sandpaper

I love planting native fruit and a Sandpaper Fig is a no brainer given I live on the east coast in Queensland, which is part of its natural habitat.

I have had my tree from several years and it has only JUST produced a fruit! It hated full fun and now it is in semi shade and fruit bud was appearing then grasshoppers virtually destoyed my plant overnight.. and nothing else in my garden!
