Wish to have one too!
Been looking for it for a long time.
Anyone has one to share, especially those grown in temperate zone, I will be so very grateful!

Gumtree seems to have a few, depending on which state you live.
Unfortunately, most members only put their suburb, which is of no help to those living in a different state.

Hmmmm, yes we have these down here, the Chinese Perfume tree, Aglaia odorata. They have a number of uses but don't know of any nurseries that are selling them though.

Do you know if they can be grown by cuttings? Might give that a go.

Yes, you can do cuttings.
Choose a brown and fat branch of about 15-25 cm in length. It will take about a month to have a new shoot.

Sorry but the cuttings did not take. Probably because I did them just before the onslaught of winter when the plants entered dormancy.

Hi Linton, I chanced upon your post. I live in Altona Meadows and was wondering how is your Algaia doing. Where did you get your plant from? And do you find it very fragrant? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks.

Sadly my Algaia plants perished some time ago but not sure of the reason. Please let me know if you find anywhere there are plants available because I would like to try growing them again under different conditions. Thanks.

Hi Linton, sorry to hear about your loss. I was hoping to help you propagate your plant. However I was also not sure if yours was really Aglaia odorata as the leaves looked a bit different. Possibility a different species? That was the reason why I asked about the fragrance.
