apple black sticky spots on Fruit (forum)

Apple Anna Dorset starts with ...
Hi Clever Gardening Types! I have 2x thriving 4 year old apple trees in my Fremantle garden. One is an Anna and the other is a Dorset Gold (low frost requiring varieties). They have had a decent crop of summer apples for the last couple of years but almost all are covered with tiny back spots that ooze a sticky substance (see pic). Inside the apples is brown under the black spot. Clearly I need to spray but when (keeping in mind they have an unusual fruiting time) and with what? Any advice would be very appreciated - especially organic advice! Cheers!

Apple dimpling bug- a type of shield bug that sucks the sap in young fruit killing those sections. Leaves behind depressed areas (that don't grow as the rest of the fruit does). May also see brown/corky areas inside the fruit at the points where it was attacked.

It would help if everyone gives a short explanation why they think it is A and not B.

Fruit fly stings cause a small areola of premature ripening around the sting. Sometimes there is a tiny blob of toffee coloured exudate as well . It is ,in my experience , never black on apple.
Scab is always black; hence, the alternative name "anthracnose" Apple dimpling bug causes ,you guessed it, dimpling.

Kert which fruitfly do you get? We only have medfly (officially) in WA. Jimmy would know local fruit fly stings. I'll stay out as I've not had apples stung.

Very much appreciate your comments. I am thinking that perhaps "black" was too stronger word to describe the spots on my apples. I only have my photo and my memory to go on but perhaps the spots were more brown and scabby. Kerts description of

"Fruit fly stings cause a small areola of premature ripening around the sting. Sometimes there is a tiny blob of toffee coloured exudate as well . It is ,in my experience , never black on apple."

I've been reading about what to do for fruit fly on the forum and am feeling very overwhelmed at the lengths I may need to go to! I am prepared to make "tents" for my trees but is there something less demanding you would recommend me trying first? Thanks very much for your interest.
