So I no not much about fruit trees but we have planted some and they all seem to be growing well....except I do not know what is happening to my apricot tree, it has only ever had 3 apricots on it. To look at one side looks different to the other, I'm unsure if this is a grafted tree or if something has happened to it? I just find it strange that the other fruit trees we purchased at the same time are producing plenty of fruit and this one isn't? It could be bad pruning or something maybe???! Can someone please help me???? Thanks in advance

It is most likely that half of your tree is rootstock. In the first photo the left hand branch has smaller leaves and probably needs to come off completely as it is the rootstock. The apricot will have rounder leaves. Your tree will be one third the size after pruning and much more productive. It will look funny at first but you can prune it back to a symmetrical shape over the next few years :)

Do it at once. Rootstock suckers should be taken off as soon as they are seen as they only compete with the variety you want to grow
