are my fruit trees dead

    1 responses

Kitka starts with ...
We had a massive amount of rain through spring and the soil was sodden for weeks. My trees - nectarine, peach, peacharine and cherries grew a few leaves but now almost every leaf has fallen off. The ground has drained now and I have added compost around them. Will my trees survive or are they dead now that all the leaves are gone?

To check if they are dead, scrape the bark to see underneath. If you see green, the branch is still alive, but if it is only brown and looking dry then it's dead.
