Hawkypork, I often see seedling rhubarb at nurseries - even Bunnings. They do OK.
I've seen specific type (rather than generic) crowns at more specialised nurseries such as Wandillia.
They may also have asparagus

Waldecks on Karrinyup RD have them, they have just come in form Herb R Us, so most WAldecks should have limited stock. I got 3 yr old crowns for 12.50 each I think. Which to me is good value as these will be moderately harvest-able next year.

Hello,

My question regarding asparagus and rhubarb crowns was pretty lazy. I found asparagus crowns in a bag full of sawdust at Bunnings. And I found dry rhubarb crowns and a potted crown at Dawsons. I also planted a handfull of Jerusalem artichokes, a combination of dried and potted strawberries for comparison and 8 new artichokes along my front drive to impress the Italians in my street.
Now to dedicate an acid garden bed for blueberries.
