Avocado Tree Leaf Bottom Browning (forum)

I bought my young reed avocado tree 10 days ago and re-potted it in this large 65cm diameter pot for now. I have watered it only once since buying it as I don't want to overwater it (we have had a little rain but not too much). The soil is a perlite mix and drains very well with some peat moss and lucerne hay to help keep in the remaining moisture.

Since potting I have noticed the underneath of the leaves are steadily turning this brown colour between the veins. I think it could be some sort of nutrient deficiency however I am not sure what it could be or how to fix it? Does anybody have any ideas??

Hi Addy360,

It's too early to say what's wrong as you just transplanted your Avo 10 days ago. But this time of the year (early spring) Avo will shred most leaves and new shoot and flowers will emerge. You need to monitor it for a few weeks. Cheers
