Would Hass Avocado grow well in western suburbs of Brisbane?

If you have the space for a large avocado tree, then Hass will do fine in the Western Suburbs. If your soil is the hard clay and shale like at my father's property, its worth importing some soil to build a raised mound and plant on top of that to increase draining and the overall helth of the plant.
