Babaco tree question (forum)

Hmsy starts with ...
I recently purcha3d 2 babaco trees.
The first picture seems to be growing normally, a bit of an angle but I think that's fine?
In the second picture, there are 2 shoots. From what I've read it's best to have just 1.
Should I cut the smaller shoot of at the base?
Would i be able to propogate the smaller shoot?
What's the propogation process?
Any help would be much appreciated.
