Hi guys, I am planning to plant Barbados cherry around 2 metres from the pool. Do they have invasive roots that will attack the pool pipes/plumbing?
I have googled this topic but it seems like no one has ever planted the Barbados cherry near a pool.
I learned that they have shallow roots systems, but is that good or bad for planting near swimming pool.
Thank you for your helps. I am planning to plant few of them as hedges near my pool and I promise I will update you guys with the photos.

Barbados Cherry has fine stinging hairs on the young leaves and stems, and it is recommended to handle/harvest wearing long sleeves and trousers.
It may not be the best thing to plant near a swimming pool where people have a lot of exposed skin.

Thank you Ironika for the feedback.
The Barbados/Acerola cherry will be planted on a raised garden bed on a 1.5m retaining wall so it is sitting very high above the ground. I am not too worried about the stinging hairs.
I want to make sure they do not have invasive roots system that will attack the pool plumbing.
My other options are kumquat or feijoa. But from my research, feijoa can get over 8 meters high, I think sooner or later their roots system will get so massive that they will negatively affecting the pool.
So far only kumquat seems to be the more safer options.
