Dwarf Ducasse is my pick. Girls will love them as they wont be too much taller than they are!

Ducasse = Sugar , so same , but dwarf is always best as who likes balancing up on top of a ladder ...
Monkey Finger would be great , they might enjoy the tasty tiny little things .
Dwarf Red Dacca .. some suckers are often available at markets in Townsville .. names can be wrong though ...

I have an interesting var called Blue Java or ice cream banana. It was bought from backyardbananas.com.au as tissue culture plants and are now around a metre tall now, can't wait to taste test them when they're ready.

Had my first bunch a while back, even though I cut the bell off, the whole stem collapsed unexpectedly. Just watch then as they are a tall variety, around 18ft when they flowered. Taste - nice, but I think they're called ice cream because they're white and fluffy inside, not because of any vanilla-like flavour. So far red dacca have been the best in the taste test, quite complex. They call them strawberry bananas around here, as they have a hint of that flavour.

Pisang Ceylon , nice tangy small fruits , but bunches can be very crowded , making it very hard to de-hand . I snap green fruits off . Another problem I am now having is trunks breaking ... last 5 bunches have been like this .. and no good when fruit is not ready .. so must be propped .

I am after to buy any rare and unusual varieties of bananas if anyone has suckers to spare or knows where I can buy some . Not the main commercial varieties - something different and unique . I live near Murwillumbah . Thanks Mat mathuranathadas108@gmail.com
