Hey all, I have a new back sapote. Only about a metre high, planted 2 months ago. Looks like it’s developing lots of fruit already.
Should I pick them off to let the tree develop? Can I leave 1 to taste?

I left two to taste, they didn't get big but it was till nice to taste them. Yours will be grafted tree I reckon. Leave one or two if you like, but try leave ones closer to the trunk where the wood is thicker.

Thanks bspargo:)
Yes it is grafted. I've left 2 further down. My 8 yr old can't wait to taste them!

Great, my 8 year old loves them too! We also freeze them in ice block trays with a squirt of lime juice and he eats them later on.
