Bramley apple issue (forum)

Richard Connor starts with ...
This summer we produced our first good looking Bramley apples grown on cordons bought from Tasmania.
With no blemishes on the outside we were dismayed to find them unusable due to spoilt flesh when cut open. The attached photo illustrates the problem.
Can anyone suggest what might be wrong with these fruit.

Most likely codling moth. Or else LBAM
yrt, there is no fruit fly in Melbourne metro area, except the rare outbreak.
