I've been offered a Bunya pine sapling grown from seed. Its probably 2 years old.
How many years might it take to start yielding cones?
Assuming it will be grown at 130m above sea level in the red soil of the NSW/QLD coastal boarder.

You'd be looking at ten to fifteen years for the tree to begin bearing cones. They do take up a lot of space - if you wish to get hold of some nuts, most botanic gardens or large parks have a few specimens, easy enough to collect them when they fall Feb/March.
