Help - my lovely new chestnut tree is starting to loose it's leaves ...I would like to think it is autumn but the other tree I have that is the same age still has only healthy green leaves (stands just over 3' high and have only had them a month or two) Any ideas?

I'd be inclined to look at soil and water variations from plant to plant. If a tree is in a drier situation it will lose its leaves a little earlier than otherwise.
It is autumn, and you have to expect it to lose its leaves fairly soon anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it too much, but a feed of nitrogen just before the tree loses its leaves gets a good start in spring.

Thankyou Manfred ...neither have been taken out of the pots they arrived in because I didn't want to upset them so close to Winter, but it did arrive later than it's friend so I am working on winter's arrival as the cuplrit, but add nitrogen just in case! Huge thanks!
