Chilli Padi Suckers? (forum)

Hi, I was given some chilli padi seeds last season and now three of them are 30cm tall in a large pot.
Lots of tiny 'sucker shoots' are growing from between the main stem and leaf stalks especially at the lower part of the plant. Is there a need to pull them off (like tomato suckers)?
Thank you!

Ellen is right there is no need to remove them . Even the lowest branch will give you chillies. You will only need to remove the lower suckers if snail starts to attack the plant as they tend to eat from the bottom up .
