Maybe in a poly tunnel if it doesnt get below 5c - Ive had beans here in Melb but not for a couple years as stopped bringing inside coz it got too big in a 500mm pot to carry in and out - but its still alive and about to flower soon = its about 2mt tall with an 8cm trunk - have 2 - ones never been inside over winter and hasnt ever produced a decent crop to roast - so some good experience for you to go by?

Hi Robyn
You might have a slight chance to grow coffee in Davenport, Tasmania. Some growers were and are successful growing coffee to fruition in Melbourne, Vic. Usually they plant their bush in a frost and wind free area near a north facing brick wall in a semi-shade position. If you can provide that kind of micro climate you might have a fighting chance to grow and harvest your own coffee beans.
But be mindful of the elevated chance of failure. I advise you to do more research before you embark in your quest for a Tassie grown home brewed arabica coffee.
